Eq-5 whit 0.9 deqree nema 17 steppers
« on: September 16, 2016, 06:30:17 »

Hello. New in here.

I had problem whit dec guiding, i was using nema 14 motors. Was looking the fault on my mount for long time. But:

It seems that my motor or the drv8825 control was fried during last winter. The drv8825 dont hold up the voltage i have set to it. Drops from 0.6V to 0.17 sometimes.
I'am getting today new motors and new drv8825 controllers.

The motors are nema 17, 400 step motors.

Shoulf it be plug and play? Or should i be aware of something?

Hello. dont know if enyone is reading the forums?. its been really cloudy in here. have not been able to test my 0.9 deqree motors. But they are installed now and running.

I get the warning about ival being too smal whit 32 microsteps.

should it be working or should i use 16 microsteps?

By the way, I installed a fan to the asteoeq box, drv8825 were pretty hot whit 1.7A. So i have heatsink +fan in the box now :).

best,
Jukka.

Everything is working whit 16 microstep. I have not tryed the 32 microsteps, will try when its not so cloudy. Had to get some images to process. I can get 10min frames whit no trailing so happy whit that.
