Hi all.

Just waiting for the pulleys, mounting plates and belts to arrive. Could some one please post some pictures of how the finished article is supposed to look?

Many thanks in anticipation.

How did you secure the stepper motor brackets to the mount?

Two bolts. One for RA and one for DEC.

There's a Google Sketchup model of the brackets which shows how it all goes together. I'll take some pics of my mount this evening.

Kind Regards,
Tom

Are you in a position to take some photographs of your mount and fittings?

Kind regards

Hi Peter,

I've just remembered that there are a few pictures of the mount and brackets on the Github page, or there were until I accidentally deleted them with some other files. They are however still tracked in the repository:

These are using the Nema 11 design. In my case I got a customised pulley made that fit on the clutches that came with the Dual-Axis kit I had previously. If using the parts listed in my tutorial you will simply mount the larger pulley directly to the worm shaft.

There is also a picture of a set of brackets that somebody else made using the Nema 14 design here.

If you want any more pics or from any specific angles, let me know.

Kind Regards,
Tom.

Hi Victor,
Looks great.
But why you lubricate the pulleys and a belt? It is absolutely unnecessary and will only accelerate the wear of the belt. My recommendation is to remove the fat.
Greeting!

Hi Vasko,
thanks a lot for your comments and recommendation.
I was told that it is better to lubricate the belt. I will try to remove the grease.

regards,
Víctor
