Hi All!

I have custom board for and I just modified the  motor PIN outs nothing else And uploaded with Ardunio 1.6.12 IDE and Condig utility wont communicate with GT2560 but If ill upload the original hex from config utility it works.
And also everything works with 7.3 firmware.

Hi Tamas,

As of V8.03 I am no longer using the Arduino IDE. Even for the earlier versions it would sometimes not compile properly with the newer versions of the Arduino software (I used 1.0.6 previously).

To compile a custom version of the firmware you will now need to download and install Atmel Studio 7 (it's free) in order to compile the code.

Finally I dont know how complied the HEX like yestardy but its wont work another issue the mount is super slow at 800X sidereal and the cordinates doesnt match with the mount movements

The Ustep Gear changing was enabled BTW i dont know what is this option, but after I unchecked it the speed looks like double then the normal. So I downgrade to 7.4 everything fine now.

Sheesh! 900Mb download AND I have to learn how to use it. I'm getting too old for this.  Anyone recommend any good tutorials that are relevant to uploading AstroEq firmware for the mega2560?

Tutorials found and I can finally get the mega to blink. Currently struggling to get AstroEQ to burn onto the mega. It builds OK but won't program.
