I did a series of testing using Stellarium (plus StellariumScope) via EQASCOM on Windows: slews, gotos, highspeed/lowspeed, and tracking all seem to work correctly still.  I believe the Windows EQASCOM driver was sending the :G command before all (or almost all) :J commands, and therefor working around the problem.

As posted on GitHub, I tested the functionality using Linux, everything seems to have been fixed.

I'm volunteering for a camp out this weekend with the local Astronomical Society, I'll let you know if I notice any other issues.

There is a serious problem with v8.13 and v8.14 firmwares, ASCOM/INDI will freeze after the first operation command is sent.  I manually recompiled these versions from the same source code and everything works fine, I think there's something wrong with your compiler.

After manually recompiling, I had two flawless nights of observing and photographing (with KStars/Ekos/INDI).  I was actually able to capture a 20 minute, single exposure of M31 (Andromeda Galaxy) with guiding accuracy below 2 arcseconds; before this, the longest exposure I had ever been able to take was 2 minutes.  Here is the unedited exposure:

Ooops.

Not a problem with the compiler. There were some modifications in my working directory that I forgot to clear before compiling the release version. I've recompiled and pushed the fixed version to the dev branch on Github, and also rolled the master branch back to the V8.12 version.
