Was imaging M-101 and using Startools for processing the subs.
The admin of Startools processed the images and gave me two bits of info.
I have way to much sky glow, which I knew I live next to a city and my stars were "
EGG" shaped.
Image is of the eggs around TR 37.
I have a 6" GSO RC 1370mm focal length and using a Canon T3i. This gives me on my image 0.65 asec/pix, from calculator.
Mount is Bresser EXOS-2 so 144 worm gear.
Stepper drive is 15-tooth to 60-tooth gears so 4:1.
Stepper is a 17Hs4401 so 1.8 deg.
My AstroEQ conf is
It appears to me that in one minute my tracking is 8 micro steps to long or to short.
Would changing "motor gear ratio" up or down so that "aVal" went up or down 11000 be a proper way of correcting this???
Or is there something else that I am missing??
Update--I am not using PHD guiding, no guiding yet. I use APT for all controls of camera and mount. I use APT's dithering but that only effects the mount when the camera is not shooting.
Update--Fixed it with photoshop and then possible PHD2 in the future.
