Arduino Mega 2650 unable to guide
« on: August 11, 2019, 14:44:58 »

Good evening all,

I thought ide go here before i have a bit of mount rage.

I have built the Arduino mega 2560 version for the EQ6 as a direct replacement for the OEM motors/board. I am running the following NEMA 17 (17HS19-1684S1) motor.

Voltage is supplied at 14.8V to the system which works within both DRV8825 and Mega specifications. The gear meshing is set so you can move the worm transfer gear nicely with very little backlash and everything is just nice.

Issue. At sidereal tracking it drifts in RA. It cannot calibrate in PHD2 because of the RA Drift however it doesn't move in DEC (North/South) but if you GOTO it pretty well drops it on the sensor at 1200mm.

I have used Custom tracking speed to get it guiding at Siderial (guide star holds position) and putting values for custom DEC tracking sees the star move both ways when you have positive or negative speeds...

Can anybody assist with something that i may have missed? or somewhere to look?

Regards
