USB TLL adapter
« on: February 12, 2020, 16:48:13 »

Hello,

If I want to mount a USB TLL adapter on the Atmega162 should I keep the resistors R15 and R16 in series in RX TX ??

How to connect the reset on pin 6, should you keep R1 and C9 and put a push button?

The reset goes to Pic 18F14K50, how to have this reset connection with a USB TLL adapter, or is it not important?

thank you so much

Pierre

Hi Pierre,

The resistors aren't requires on the TX/RX lines.

The pin on the PIC that controls the reset line is the RTS or DTR signal on the USB adapter.

On my adapters I don't have the DTR pin, is this mandatory?

Thank you
