DRV8834 Tracking Issue
« on: July 11, 2020, 16:21:14 »

I am facing an intermittent tracking problem with my DYI ASTROEQ  using the DRV8834.
In order to achieve the 1/4 and    1/32 step, I did not connect M0 in order to let it float. When I track, at times the tracking is ok but some times the RA moves faster and some times it moves slower. Could this be a result of not connecting the M0?

Looking forward to hear form anyone.

Thank you.

Thanks for your swift reply.
I have went through it.

As for using the DRV8825 , is the fast decay needed to be tied to 5V to have a stable tracking?

???

Just connect the 8825 as shown in the diagram and there is no problem, just adjust the current for the stepper motor correctly !
