slewing to position
« on: April 05, 2021, 18:50:56 »

Hello,

I have a problem with goto. For example when I want to go from home position to Capella the declination moves only about five degrees and RA about half an hour. I have checked several times the wiring on the PCB, but there is nothing wrong. The gear rations are right.
I am using the latest version of astroeq and use stellarium also the latest version. What am I doing wrong? Who can help me?

Do the motors spin smoothly and continuousl during the movement, or do they sound like they are making a stuttering/grating noise?

the motor spin smoothly and continuously. But in stellarium it goes to the selected object, but the mount does not. I am using the 8825.

Is the movement out by a constant amount each time? For example if you slew from one object to another, and then back again, does the mount move back to the starting point?

yes, it moves back to its starting point. I have not measured the time but it like to be a constant amount of time.

Sounds like an issue with one of the mode select lines for the driver.

I checked all the wiring and is connected as in your Arduino Mega Schematic on this site.

Could you put LEDs or multi-meter on each of the mode select pins, and see what is set for both normal speed (e.g. sidereal tracking) and high speed (Go-To slews).

Hello, sorry it took al long time answer you, but  I have measured the signals. For RA  slewing singnals on M0 and M2 and traking signal on M1. For Dec slewing  signals on M0 and M2 and traking on M1. I am using the DR8825 chip and arduino mega 2560.
