Battery power options
« on: May 10, 2021, 01:51:50 »

Hello,

I am looking to get a more OTA focused. At the present, I am at spagetthi junction with AstroEQ. I would like to mount power to the OTA. Which power bricks work with AstroEQ?
I have a hefty brick powering it at the present, (within specs). It works well, But...

Amps to drive the motors are what are required. I am looking at the Pegasus Astro Pocket Powerbox Advance. To me, I think 1 12v 5A link is all that is needed. Thoughts?

What other options are available?

I personally use a 12V 35Ah deep cycle battery.  My cameras and Raspberry Pi tap off it with voltage regulators, but the AstroEQ is connected directly to battery voltage.
