General Discussion / Re: Working with EQMODLX
« on: May 09, 2017, 19:11:35 »
Hi!

Looks like, the satellite tracking is fine with EQMODLX and SatelliteTracker, of course not so accurately.
But I have a question.
In slow movement rate everything fine, the movement is smooth, and the movement rate change is countinous.
But in fast movement (fastest satellites, in zenith) the motor controller will not respond to fast rate changes unless the mount/motor is first stopped.
Movement in one rate --> motor stoped --> rate change --> again movement --> again stop
In every rate change the motor will stop.
With this zig-zag movement the satellite tracking is impossible. (like leap frogging)
Is there any reason with ASTROEQ to change the movement rate continously?

Thanks for the reply.
Yesterday I configured the necessary softwares, and it really works.
Unfortunately from inside the house yet, but in the next clear sky I will check the accuracy.

Does the ATROEQ working with the EQMODLX satellite tracking software? (LX200 capability)
Or is there any other chance for satellite tracking?

Yeppp, the 1K resistor was the problem (I forgot :\ ). At now everything is perfect. :)
And the new version is excellent.

Thanx for the answer.

Hi!

What could be the problem, if in my basic hand controller the 2x speed doesn't working, unless I disconnect the hand controller and back?
The other speed is working perfectly.
If I select the 2x speed (short the GPIO_PIN0 (D21) to the GND through a 3.9K resistor) and press the buttons .... nothing. But if I hold any direction button pressed during disconnect the hand controller - and then back - the movement is working. But after I release the button and press another one it doesn't working again.

/Arduino Mega version with protoshield
Hand controller connected to the ST4 port

Beta Firmware Releases / Re: [Completed] AstroEQ 8.0.3(beta)

Hi!

Same issue in here. In south direction only moves 1 step, but only in slewing. In goto movement everything fine in all direction. 7.4 is OK.

Furthermore (8.0.2):
- If I set the "uStep Gear Change" to enabled, then the tracking isn't move with 16 uStep (rather then 2 uStep), goto movements is fine.
- But if I set "Gear change" to disabled, then the tracking is fine, but the goto movements is very slow  (with "Goto rate limit" set to "No limit" --> setting to 400 much faster, but not enough)
Not vice versa must be?
In 7.4 everything fine, but I wanted to use a hand controller.

Or am I doing something wrong?
