General Discussion / I'm Linux user and sketchup poses a problem for me!
« on: July 02, 2017, 01:55:19 »
I have a EQ3-2 mount for my Astro-tech AT60ED but the mount has Mead DS drives on it.
It seems the AstroEQ conversion might be better for mu use.
The problem is that Sketchup has NO support in Linux and when I tried to install Sketchup using playonlinux (front end for Wine} and then install Wine just to see what the NEMA 14 brackets were like, I got BIG problems!
The installation was a pain in the behind and I never did get sketchup to show me anything from the .skp file!
I have been using Linux for about 17 YEARS (ever since Linux 0.9)! In all that time I have been able to make it work for me but the combination of Google creating sketchup, NOT providing support for a Linux port has me stumped.
Is there anyone that can provide a .pdf of the drawings for the NEMA14 brackets?
I can view any other file and print it on paper OR print to file as a .pdf
