DIY AstroEQ / My first Project with AstroEQ
« on: February 16, 2019, 13:42:38 »
Hi Tom
I received the equipment of AstroEQ 4.6, ATMega162-16PU and PIC18F14K50-I / P and Parts List of Element14 such as Resistors, Capacitors and various ICs as Tom suggested.
What is lacking is
1. Worm wheel RA, DEC and
2.Stepping motor
As for the Worm wheel, I would like to make a similar version of AstroPhicsic with a 5.9 "Worm wheel, 225 tooth
For Stepping motor, I am thinking of using a closed loop stepping motor motor NEMA 14-17. Is it suitable?
Selecting the motor that Tom had recommended that choose 2 phase Bipolar 6-12V <1.2A / phase
Or it is a stepping motor with a built-in encoder
So I have the following questions:
1. Can I order the Worm wheel 225 tooth to work with AstroEQ?
2. Can stepping motor that I choose to have closed loop?
If it is inappropriate or difficult to do Please advise me too.
Regards,
Thanom
