AstroEQ Support / Re: Having trouble opening EQMOD
« on: January 11, 2020, 09:44:19 »
Hi Tom,
You caught me out with your rapid response.
I must have had a corrupt EQASCOM installation file as I downloaded the installation file again, re-installed EQASCOM and all is well - so far.
Thanks,
Brian

AstroEQ Support / Having trouble opening EQMOD
« on: January 07, 2020, 13:45:39 »
Hi All,
New member here but bought my AstroEQ some 5 years ago (ver 4.4). Got it all up and working successfully then but with moving house and lots of other distractions I have not used it for at least 3 years.
So to come to the point. I got everything out again this last week and set about updating Java, EQMOD, ASCOM and the AstroEQ firmware and configuration file and all went well. The new configuration was successfully written to the eprom but the next stage to open EQMOD failed with the message "Failed to open EQMOD - is it installed?"
No matter how many times I tried after re-installing EQMOD it still failed at the same juncture.
Am I doing something wrong or what? I've no idea. Hoping any forum member can set me on the right track before I get completely frazzled!
Thanks in anticipation.
