Hi Tom. Is your new version backwards compatible with older versions of EQMOD?

DIY AstroEQ / Nema 14 brackets

Hi

I've fashioned some Nema 14 brackets by hand from some aluminium as per the sketch-up diagrams.
How critical are the dimensions???
I assume the odd values are due to metric conversion from imperial?

When mounting the RA bracket it doesn't fit flat due to a radius on the mount beneath.
A 2mm packing plate sorts this a treat but would like to know if this will affect anything.
I dont have the pulleys or belts in yet!

Thanks

Paul

Cheers as always for the quick response.

What's your current availability for AstroEQ's?

Not pushing. May be a month or two as I need to save the pennies. :-\

Sorry Tom

Just a quick one. If I get the steppers, belts and pulleys you suggest.
Do you have the settings for astroeq?

Cheers

Paul

Thanks Tom.
I will probably go down the route of making my own brackets for my next setup.
What motors do you recommend to improve the astroEQ/eq5 combo?

Cheers

Paul

DIY AstroEQ / Eq5 motors

Hi.
I've been running AstroEQ with my eq5 and CDC and am really happy with it.
The slewing, especially if going all the way from North to South, is slow and I was wondering if anyone knows of any 12v motors I could replace the 6v ones for.
I'm running the existing ones at the ragged edge and they are running pretty hot.
I figure that I would be able to run the 12v motors a little quicker.
Thanks

Paul
