Problem Optiboot
« on: January 12, 2016, 17:44:51 »

Hello

Hello
My name is Markus from Germany , I apologize in advance for my bad english ; )

I have a problem getting the boot loader up and running . I have the Hex File fired by AVRStudio4.13 to the ATMEGA162 and set the fuses , but he does not run .
Hardware failure can be ruled out , as I here have a chip that works .
I try it now for 2 weeks and have even destroyed a Atmega ... Can someone please help me ?

Mfg

Markus

Have you:

  • Checked the serial connections - are RX and TX the correct way around?
  • Verified your USB-Serial connection works (loopback test)?
  • Checked that the crystal is oscillating?

The fuse settings seem ok, and there is nothing wrong with the bootloader code (otherwise the some 100+ AstroEQs out there wouldn't work ;) ), so it suggests a hardware issue somewhere.

Hello Tom

I have an even manage to describe a right of AVR162 works flawlessly , so it can not be due to the hardware (see picture)
When I try the normal way to program an empty AVR , but I do not get it running ans .
When I use the functional but elite and the hex file burning goes well , the new chip .
But what I'm doing probably wrong when I try it in the normal way ?
could you possibly even write me the order , I have to program a blank chip ?
I would like to know where my mistake is :)

Best regards

Markus

PS:
Now I've done it again , as I have resetet the chip with software update multiple times .
Strange, as if the bootloader hooked .
Funny....
