AstroEQ Forum is Live!
« on: September 29, 2014, 17:54:52 »

Hi Folks,

Welcome to the AstroEQ support forum. I have enabled this forum for discussions about, and support for AstroEQ controllers.

The AstroEQ project started off as something I made for my own scope, but over the last few years many people have been integrating AstroEQ to their mounts, both through controllers built by myself, and through ones they have built themselves. AstroEQ is and will always remain an Open-Source project, all of the schematics, source code, and constructions plans are available to download free of charge from the AstroEQ website (see the "Making Your Own AstroEQ" tutorial here) and the AstroEQ Github Repository.

Over time much of the wealth of knowledge accumulated in the thread over on the SGL forum (linked on the main forum page) will find its way here. Many of the questions raised there have already been formed into FAQs and Tutorials on this website. Hopefully those who have been actively posting in that thread will also find their way here and bring content of their post which they believe to be of value here as well.

If you have any problems or need help with your AstroEQ, I do try to be as responsive as possible on the forums. However since the project began, a lot has changed for me. I was a student when I started the project, so had enough free time to be able to be active with the project, but I have since graduated, moved to the US for two years to work at Georgia Tech, moved back again to the UK to start a job at Leeds Uni whilst also starting studies for a PhD. As a result I am a very busy person so I may not be able to respond immediately. If you don't get a response to posts in a few days, don't be shy about sending a follow up post - it's quite possible that I miss posts or read them on my phone and forget to answer when I get home.

Kind Regards,
Tom (AstroEQ).

Hi Tom!

I found this section today and I fully understand your works and contributions for the AstroEQ.
I also understand how busy you are with your study for PhD. For my case, I had no time for other stuff when I was in same situation.
So, I think you do wonderfulful thing for maintaining the AstroEQ Forum and your study at the same time.

Appreciate your kindness and Good luck with your study!
