USB vs Windows 10 update (S.O.S.)
« on: October 16, 2022, 15:49:57 »

Hi all

I am having problems with USB connection. Since my Windows 10 have got the latest updated, Windows does not recognice the AstroEQ USB  port. The status Led remains off (does not blink) and, in the (Device Administrator), I have the following message:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

I have tried with another PC which have not been updated, and IT WORKS.

Please, I need some help. I can not use my AstroEQ right now.

Thaks a lot

Try removing the device from device manager (select "delete drivers" if the option given").
Then unplug, and reattach the AstroEQ.
In theory Win 10 should detect AstroEQ as a serial port without any drivers being installed (Win 10 has usbser.sys built in, and should auto-install it for Class 02 USB devices, of which AstroEQ is one).

Thanks a lot Thomas for your quick and efective answer.

The problem is solved. I have just done what you told me to do, and it works.

Again, thanks a lot.

On the other hand, Thomas. Have you any thing to say about my question two days ago about comparing DRV8825 and TTMC2100?
